It Just Feels Like Home
by Jerry C. Ausband
Like the pitch, tar and turpentine that were once harvested from
the multitude of
pine
trees as one of the past major industries in our State, this new
“educational glue” flows freely in this 500 +/- acre planned
community located in Jacksonville, NC.
Carolina Forest points with pride to its community elementary
school. Carolina Forest Elementary School opened in 2005 thanks
in part to a 30-acre land donation from Carolina Forest
developer Mr. Garland W. Tuton.
Elementary education is the glue that unites the
people of Carolina Forest, a planned community for the citizens
of Jacksonville.
But Carolina Forest is more than just an
outstanding school. For families that crave convenience,
Carolina Forest fits the bill. Located just a few miles from
beautiful North Carolina beaches and our nation’s pride of U.S.
Marine Corps installations, this community boasts near-by
shopping, banks, churches, public golf courses and much more--
all surrounded by the natural beauty that has been so diligently
preserved.
By and large, the individual neighborhoods in Carolina Forest
are designed for specific needs, family sizes and appropriate
geography and landscaping. An on-site sales and information
center is conveniently located adjacent to the Carolina Forest
Elementary School. Locally owned and operated, the Jacksonville
Realty Group, Inc represents each builder with on-site models
and sales.
As one future homeowner stated, “The community
feels like the neighborhoods that I grew up in. You know your
neighbors, you have a monthly get together and everyone watches out
for each other and their kids.”
It just feels like home.
